I think a better way to install this printer is through an HP Jetdirect 300x. I checked the size of mine and it's a little overġ gig. If you don't have the network option that I have, you should be able to copy that "FileRepository" folder from any Win 7 machine or hard drive that has a working LaserJet 1100 installed. txt doc that I could find and it (unbelievably) worked. I even looked in "Add a Printer" and it was there too. Worked so, I looked in "Devices and Printers" and the 1100 icon was there. After a couple minutes, I got the ".successfully installed." message. Then I clicked "Next" and it started grinding away. If there's an option to select or include Just select "FileRepository" but don't open it and don't select anything inside it. The path was as follows: "network\me\c\windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository". I'm the network administrator so, I had all the necessary share privileges forĪccess.

You can also try installing Windows Vista 64bit driver in Windows Vista compatibility mode.ġ. But I found the Windows 7 64bit driver in Microsoft Update Catalog. Based on my research, there isn't Windows 7 compatible driver released currently on HP site.
